iPad App Proves Effective for Ward6

Last night Ward6 won the only Effie awarded in the healthcare category at The Australian Effie Awards held at the Sydney Convention Centre. The Effie Awards honour the most significant achievement in advertising and marketing communications: effectiveness.

The Silver award was for client Gilead’s HIV treatment, Atripla, and showcased the agency’s digital innovation. Ward6 developed a highly interactive ipad selling platform for sales reps to engage doctors on the realities of living with HIV. Rather than talking at them, the app created an opportunity for a two-way conversation, ultimately leading to a positive result for Gilead and for patients with HIV.

Ward6 CEO Stuart Black said,

“We’ve put a lot of effort into building a very strong digital team and I think the outcomes of the Beyond HIV campaign are testament to that. It wasn’t just strong creatively, it also delivered outstanding results.”
